Alice Harling
Alice was born in 1991 to Daniel and Anita Harling in Sunset Valley, where she grew up around her father's racing thoroughbreds. When she was still in school at the age of seven, her mother was involved in a fatal accident on the yard and from that point onward, Daniel took sole charge of Alice's upbringing. Anita left Alice with a keen interest in the Anglo Arabian breed, which Alice carries to this day.
She is stubborn, cheerful, creative and excitable and when she's not out training her horses, she's inside with a hot drink and her nose in a book.
Throughout her school and college years, Alice strove to achieve as much as she could, but her heart was never devoted to her education. She would often spend entire nights pouring over her father's thoroughbred registries and racing results, desperate to breed a horse of her own. When she was in her late teens, her father rewarded her for her hard work with a thoroughbred filly and although Jazerax is now grown much bigger, she still tries to follow Alice everywhere!
Alice is just starting to promote White Valley Stud and with her father's help and wealth of experience, she hopes in the future to properly put it on the map!

Jed Partridge
Jed was born in 1989 to Frank and Helen Partridge in Sunset Valley and rode his first horse, an old Shire named Elby, when he was three years old. When he was eight, his father Frank took him to his workplace and introduced him to his boss, the one and only Daniel Harling. Frank and Daniel taught Jed how to train racehorses and when Jed turned sixteen, he started racing Daniel's thoroughbred three-year-olds in local steeplechases, all the while acting as Alice's big brother and constant confidant.
Jed was Alice's closest friend as a child and despite bickering with each other for most of their lives, Jed still loves having Alice around years later. His adaptable nature, calmness and rationalism makes him Alice's perfect business partner and he has kept things going through the toughest of times, always ready with some quick words of advice or a bar of chocolate when necessary, but he'd be the first to say he isn't perfect! Never an academic, Jed's world was always going to be on the practical side of things, though his level-headedness and understanding of the equine industry has made him a top notch manager and trainer.
He is a valuable asset to the team at White Valley Stud and, even though he has spent the last few years abroad training to be a professional eventer, he says he's now here to stay!
