About Us
Established in Nov. 2011, White Valley Stud is the proud home of some wonderful upcoming youngsters. The stable's founder, Alice Harling, is expanding her family's breeding business with her very own establishment on the South West coast of the UK, 70 miles from her father's racing stud in Dartmoor National Park.
Initially set up to accommodate competing thoroughbreds from her father's foal crops, White Valley Stud was a new build boasting spacious grounds and small, but adaptable facilities. However, since the stud's official opening, only one thoroughbred has trod it's sandy arenas and that's Alice's own home-bred mare, Jazerax. Why? Alice's mother, Anita, was originally born in France and grew up near Arnac-Pompadour, home of the famous Pompadour National Anglo Arab Stud. Anita fell in love with the versatile and dynamic breed of the Anglo-Arabian and passed her enthusiasm onto her daughter. Out of curiosity, Alice bought her first foundation foal at an auction when she first moved to Devon and from that moment on, she's never looked back.
Here at White Valley, we look not only to enter the breeding business, but to train all the horses that pass through for competition careers. Well done to Team GB in the Equestrian events for their Team Silver medal! In celebration, Alice and Rust Robin pose for a set of two Olympic-style Advertisements - Alice wears a custom made Team GB turtleneck :)
